Jayson Brunsdon backstage at RSFF

They had ballerina hair and ballerina-inspired footwear. Herewith a backstage portfolio from Kent Vaughan of last night's Jayson Brunsdon Spring/Summer 0910 show, which opened the 2009 Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival - a consumer event that presents in-season collections. A glamorous, softly-toned collection of silk shirtwaisters, cocktail shorts, embellished halter tops and draped goddess gowns, it was originally inspired by the "classic Australian woman", as epitomised by Brunsdon's mother Dorothy and unveiled at RAFW in May. Frockwriter was busy snapping backstage shots in real-time to upload to Twitter and shooting a live-stream video (below) - to the hilarious commands of "Rock and roll!" from one backstage snapper as the girls exited the runway to head backstage. The show was opened and closed by RSFF face Elyse Taylor, with plenty of other local highprofilers, including Rachel Rutt, Vanessa Milde, Simone Kerr and NZ's Georgia Fowler.

Thanks for sharing your pictures.

Georgia Fowler...what a beautiful young woman. Now this is a model with the x factor not R.Rutt....

What is your beef with Rachel Rutt? Out of interest, what has she done/shown that caused you to be so derogatory about her?

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. RR might not appeal to you, but obviously to others.

No beef with RR just do not see what all the hype is about her and being the it girl at the moment when there are so many other girls that just have so much more to offer.

Yes beauty does lie in the eyes of the beholder ...at least we agree on something.

your kidding right!?

Rachael is way ahead of the game! She rocks, and is actually an intelligent person.

Anonymous, I'm sure a lot of people are actually intelligent :) Rachel is gorgeous, but there are also lots of other lovely people in the fashion industry to :)

I love the colours in this collection, I personally really like Rachel Rutt but I don't think if that hair suits her.

I never got the impression there was an issue with Frockwriter towards her at all... ??

Simone Kerr looks amazing! Who is the mpdel in the brown coat in a few of the images (left of Brunsdon in the group shot)? Is it the same model in his Myer interview?

Suzie, I don't think Patty has any issues regarding Rachel Rutt. Please read 2nd and 3rd posts, then 'Rachel Rutt, Sonny Vandevelde gear up for New York Fashion Week' (see first comment) and perhaps you'll have a clearer picture.

Patty's blog is interesting and informative and I thoroughly enjoy it.

I must have skimmed over that one, I was a little confused to say the least. And indeed, I see there is a tad of anonymous attacking going on. I'm looking forward to seeing her on the runway in New York!

I agree, finding Patty's entires very interesting after being put on to the site by my sister! I do enjoy that it is so quickly updated.

I don't suppose anyone can ID the girl I asked about above?

Maybe Patti appreciates those in the fashion industry with a bit of professionalism as to those with none, I appreciate Rachel Rutt although Ive never met her :)
