In Vogue: Catherine McNeil and Miles Langford

And in news just in, Catherine McNeil has a new love interest: British model Miles Langford. But far more newsworthy, we feel, than the fact that McNeil is taking a break from the laydees (prompting some minor kvetching from lesbian forums such as The L Chat) is the birth of a cool new modelling It couple. After McBeha - the hybrid nickname for McNeil and former gf, Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen - and McNeil’s brief engagement to Australian model-turned MTV VJ-turned DJ Ruby Rose, we give you MiCat. Well, that's what we're calling them.

Who is Langford exactly?

A 21 year-old who hails from South East London, who first tried his hand at modelling at the age of 18. Abandoning that to work in fashion retail, he was scouted again in 2011 and in July this year, made such an impression during the Spring/Summer 2013 menswear shows, that he nabbed a spot on models.com’s Top 10 SS13 Newcomers list.

Langford has also shot a raft of editorial for edgy publications such as Vogue Hommes Japan, i-D magazine, Schön magazine and The Hunger Magazine. In the latter's Spring/Summer 2012 edition, he features in a steamy editorial with 90s supermodel Helena Christiansen:

Lots of models have tattoos. But Langford is more tattoed than most, with tattoos covering his feet, legs, torso, arms, palms and fingers. Only his back and neck remain un-inked according to Langford. 

Twenty three year-old McNeil has more than 19 tattoos - many of them highlighted in this recent series shot by Terry Richardson.

After McNeil took a brief break from modelling, her career resurgence this year has included a spot in Jean Paul Gaultier's Fall/Winter 2012/2013 haute couture show in Paris, editorial spreads in Vogue Paris, Vogue China, Vogue Australia and ad campaigns for Diesel and Seafolly.

According to our sources, McNeil and Langford have been together for a year and live together in New York. Their Instagram accounts are peppered with photos of the couple's two adorable dogs, a Boston terrier and a Beagle - and numerous shots of them out on the town or recovering from a big night.

McNeil is apparently unfazed by the fact that last year, her New York agency Ford found itself having to defend a particularly unflattering social media photo of her at a bar. Earlier this year, McNeil departed Ford for Marilyn, her third New York agency in the space of 18 months.
