New faces: Henry Payten

And now for the boys. Third up in frockwriter's new series about new modelling faces from down under is Henry Payten, who was recently signed to Sydney's The Agency Models.

The 6' 17 year-old now lives in Bondi and is studying at TAFE. But he originally hails from Lord Howe Island, where his family are sixth generation descendants of the island's first European settlers (and where they run The Beachcomber Lodge). He was scouted by The Agency Models director Lincoln Ferguson at a Bondi bus stop and has been modelling for a month.

Modelling runs in this family as well: Payten's French grandmother Gisela Burnet was also a model.

Payten's first job: three lookbooks for Australian streetwear giant General Pants, shot over the course of one week. Here is the first

Expect to see him on the menswear runways in Milan and Paris come January 2013, joining the rapidly-expanding ranks of Australia's rising male model stars such as Joel Meacock, Angus Low, Tom Bull and Zac and Jordan Stenmark.
