Showcards: eMg Models (women) - MBFWA SS 13/14

Last week frockwriter introduced new eMg Models face Mackenzie Baker – son of Hermès Australia’s head honchette Karin Upton Baker, who then wound up co-starring alongside Gemma Ward as a lead image in Saturday’s Private Sydney column on the back page of The Sydney Morning Herald. Now for eMg Models’ women’s showpack for next week’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia. Of note, a brand new indigenous face.

Three weeks ago, indigenous Australian Charlee Fraser from Newcastle ‘Liked’ a model photo posted to eMg Models’ Facebook page. Next thing she knew, she was signed to the agency.

This 18 year-old black swan with an impossibly long neck (we are assured the above portrait is no Photoshop job - see the rest of her portfolio on the eMg Models website) is studying beauty therapy and business administration part time at TAFE, but hopes to hit next week’s runways. She missed last week’s MBFWA castings round after booking her first modelling job: shooting a campaign for the Kevin Murphy hair brand with photographer Robert Erdmann. The shoot took place in Melbourne and we hear it was Fraser's first-ever plane trip.

Great to see the emergence of so many new indigenous Australian modelling faces. And good timing, with the launch of Australian Indigenous Fashion Week next year

Also new to MBFWA this year via eMg are the following Australians:

Nicki Newton, 17, Sydney
Jayde Heiser, 18, Sydney
Courtney Mitchell, 18, Gold Coast
Anna Roguli, 20, Sydney
