In Vogue: Cassi van den Dungen

Frockwriter recently revealed that Cassi van den Dungen had her first editorial coming up in Vogue Australia – 16 pages no less. Hot on the heels of her international runway debut for Giles Deacon and Miu Miu, here is a sneak peek of the issue, which is due out on Monday. Expensive? At $19,000 for this Chanel dress, van den Dungen should do her former Australia's Next Top Model colleague Alex Perry proud.

Called 'The Sweetest Thing', the story was shot in and around an apiary in rural NSW. It starts on page 148, the first fashion spread in the issue, placed in fact before a spread featuring April covergirl Miranda Kerr.

The accompanying intro reads:
"Fashion is abuzz about the brave new world where digital tribes swarm around online hives. Sultry silhouettes and ladylike looks signal it's the season to act like a queen bee".

Which is amusing, given that in at least one online fan forum, van den Dungen is referred to as "the kween"

Here are the caption deets supplied by Vogue:
"Easily mistaken for a magnificent quivering bloom, this shredded-silk dress by Chanel demands a fearless approach. Chanel dress, $19,060, from the Chanel boutiques. Suzy O’Rourke hat, $890. Lucas wears a beekeeper’s suit from The Urban Beehive".
