Reuben Ramacher covers i-D

Frockwriter mentioned in January that new Australian face Reuben Ramacher may have even bigger things ahead of him than that month's Saint Laurent show during the Paris menswear collections. And voilà, here he is on the cover of British style bible i-D magazine, shot by Saint Laurent creative director Hedi Slimane. 

The 19 year-old Sydneysider is one of five cover stars of i-D's Spring 2013 edition. He joins modelling icons Lara Stone, Karlie Kloss and world number one Joan Smalls, as well as another newcomer, Amra Cerkezovic. 

Ramacher's is the only cover shot by Slimane and it's part of what we understand is a 10-page fashion editorial starring Ramacher that is published inside the same issue, which was shot by Slimane in January in Los Angeles. 

Considering that he's only been modelling for five minutes, with not even an Australian cover under his belt, it's a pretty extraordinary get for Ramacher. Not to mention the burgeoning Australian male model contingent. 

Stand by to see whether he also cracks the Saint Laurent Fall/Winter campaign. 

Meanwhile, unless other work opportunities intervene, with Ramacher included in the MBFWA show pack of his Australian mother agency, The Agency Models, expect to see him front-and-centre at next month's event in Sydney.
