Behind-the-scenes at Portmans

Provided by Portmans and exclusive to frockwriter, a behind-the-scenes video of the making of the Australian highstreet retailer's summer campaign. Due to appear in August online and in store, the campaign stars Canadian Kelsey van Mook and was shot by Nicole Bentley on the Wolverine set on Sydney's heritage-listed Cockatoo Island. Other faces you might recognise in the background include Claudia Navone, fashion director of Harpers Bazaar, who obviously moonlights as a stylist, Portmans creative director Nikki Hillier, hair stylist Nicholas Jurnjack and makeup artist Charlotte Blakeney.

Beautiful Girl. Love the hair. But the accessories? Egad!

I must be confused. Is this separate from the shoot Antm's Cassie was doing for Portmans that the Herald Sun was reporting on today?

Also, love the hair.

hi H$L -

yes it's separate. this is the august campaign, which will be both online and in store.

cassi shot a lookbook which will be online in september. this blog first mentioned cassi's portman's campaign on thursday night - which the HS picked up that night to run in the paper on friday. i know they ran a couple of images this morning that were later bumped. just waiting on more shots and will post asap.

being a highstreet retailer, portmans has ongoing drops of fresh merchandise. hence, presumably, the fast campaign turnover as well.

If i was in charge of this shoot I would have chosen Daren Borthwick for hair, he is a credit to Aussie hair styling :)
