Giddy up

How about something a little different for the upcoming Spring Racing Carnival? Fashion's bondage moment sees the men taking a turn being trussed up in this intriguing 30-page cover story for Vogue Hommes Japan. Shot by dark master Steven Klein, styled by Nicola Formichetti, the spread stars Ryan Koning, Stephen Novok, Travis Hanson, Oraine Barrett, Jason Morgan, Dough Porter, Colby Jamar and Anthony Gallo. For more images see Formichetti’s blog.

You know, I'm starting to get the distinct impression that all the sexualization we're seeing in certain fashion mags lately is just a desperate attempt to keep themselves "relevant". I can't say that I like it; I don't find it interesting; I don't find it beautiful; it doesn't compel me to buy the products being featured.
If I want kinky porn then I'll seek that out at the appropriate outlets, and view it at me leisure. However, if I want to look at fashion I'll be avoiding these mags.
Huh, ponyboy wear? You know, it might be interesting if it weren't already easily accessible all over the net. I wish the fashion photogs would try to make *fashion* interesting instead.
