Anything to do with ruffled blouses, tier fly-a-away ruffles in silk/sheer silk organza is giving me the creeps. Unless done magnificently.
perhaps the most alarming aspect of sophia loren's frightful ensemble was that it was apparently armani prive: http://bit.ly/e79nH
why on earth she didnt choose something simpler from his couture offerings is beyond me - ditto why the armani camp let her walk out the door looking like that.
leaving armani aside, she could have gone for a classic red column from valentino. one of the simpler gowns, without too much detail. she could have looked incredible. instead she wound up looking like a kitschy italian wedding table decoration.
I thought Sophia Lauren's leafy sea dragon costume (http://www.jfdaily.com/gb/node2/node9140/node43355/node44011/node44772/images/00024936.jpg) was the only real answer to Bjork's swan dress the Oscars have ever seen. It's just a real shame her horsey headdress got caught in the limo door and ripped off. Were it not for that little wardrobe malfunction, her garb would have made much more sense.
