Just as Scene’s Tallulah Morton is getting lots of attention in Paris – comes word that Chic-ettes Myf Shepherd (many thanks M.H.) and Sarah Stephens have even further entrenched themselves in the Big Apple fashion buzz.
Both models now have their own profiles on New York magazine’s highly visible website.
Each profile provides a bullet-point precis of the listed model’s achievements to date, with details updated accordingly.
Shepherd was only discovered a few months ago (and as I pointed out on my earlier blog, was in fact snubbed by producers of Australia’s Next Top Model for Cycle 4).
Shepherd's nymag.com "career" profile is, understandably, brief. It does not however mention her blockbuster first Australian Fashion Week season in April - 17 shows, more than any other Chic Management girl.
The profile does mention Shepherd's Prada Resort 09 show gig, but not Lanvin's Resort 09 presentation, or Gucci's more low-key Resort 09 presentation to New York editors, in which she featured.
Born in Cairns, Shepherd is, according to nymag.com, friends with Alice Burdeu and known for “my legs, my eyes”.
Sarah Stephens' nymag.com entry says she is friends with fellow Aussies Abbey Lee Kershaw, Catherine McNeil and Skye Stracke and internationals Karlie Kloss and Karmen Pedaru.
Her interests are listed as:
"Playing clarinet, netball, listening to Radiohead and The Cure".
And she believes she is known for:
"My pout, my bangs"
Stephens' profile mentions her Girlfriend Model Search 2006 win, Australian RUSSH cover, editorial in both Australian and Russian Vogue (the latter shot by Ellen von Unwerth) and the Carlos Miele Resort 09 presentation in New York.
It does not mention the Lanvin Resort 09 show, Gucci's Resort 09 New York editors presentation – in which Stephens also featured – or the new Numero editorial shot by Greg Kadel.
BTW that’s also Stephens rocking Jill Stuart in this WWD June 16 resort editorial spread (centre ^).
